The Stables is the conversion of two smaller properties into one family home. Both properties had limited daylighting, and badly proportioned rooms. Our proposal involved the complete remodelling of the interiors, joining the two buildings, and carving light scoops deep into the plan to maximise solar gains. We removed the existing long dark corridor and made the living spaces more accessible to provide a lifetime home.
