This project, in the south of Mull, converts an underused garage into a neat little self-catering apartment. Emphasis was placed on addressing the views to the bay from the living space and sleeping mezzanine, and connecting the dining area to the south and the garden. Attention was paid to natural lighting and cross ventilation to make the most of the small space.
Rigorously designed fitted furniture makes the most of the available space, designed to provide shelving, storage, and clothes hanging. The kitchen, stair, storage, and shower room are part of a central service core underneath the mezzanine.
