John St, London
The refurbishment of a Grade 2 listed Georgian townhouse. This project was to convert an office interior back to a family home, whilst bringing the house up to modern living standards. The design included a new roof terrace and high quality interiors sympathetic to the building’s listed status. Jenny worked as Project Architect on John Street while at Ash Sakula Architects.
Gloucester Rd, London
Refurbishment in the Regency style of a Grade 1 listed apartment by John Nash. The entire interior had been removed in the 1970’s and the proposal sought to make a comfortable modern home, sympathetic to the original architecture. Jenny was project architect for this job while with Westwoods Architects.
Children’s Zoo visitor centre, London Zoo.
New visitor centre for children to interact with ‘small animals’ at London Zoo. The facility was to consist of indoor and outdoor play areas, shop and cafe. Jenny worked on this during the concept and outline design stages while with Ash Sakula Architects.
Taunton Place, London Business School
High specification fit out of an MBA teaching suite including seminar rooms. Proposal included accommodation of AV equipment and the design of timber acoustic panel system. Jenny was project architect for this job while with Westwoods Architects.
Manchester Law Courts
Award winning new build courts and offices in Spinningfields, Manchester. BREEAM rated. Jenny worked on this job while with Denton Corker Marshall Architects.
LVMH
Retail Fit out for LVMH in Royal Exchange Square, London and Marina Shopping Mall, Abu Dhabi. Jenny worked on this while with Denton Corker Marshall Architects.
Verdura, Sicily
External works proposals for a golf and spa Hotel in Verdura, Sicily. Proposals included apartment courtyards, children’s play area, pool, outdoor cinema and kitchen garden. Jenny worked as External works Designer on this while with Denton Corker Marshall.
Browns Hotel, London
The refurbishment of the famous grade 2 listed Browns Hotel in Piccadilly to bring the property in line with building regulations in regards to energy use, noise and disabled access. Jenny worked on this while with Denton Corker Marshall Architects.
Discovery Hotel, St Lucia
A luxurious apartment hotel located on the Caribbean island of St Lucia. Local timbers were used and screens developed to allow the maximum natural ventilation. Jenny worked as an Assistant on this while with Denton Corker Marshall.
Eco Hotel, Tobago
Competition for a hotel apartment complex in Tobago. Proposals focussed on natural ventilation and allowed monsoon waters to move freely down the sloping site. Jenny worked as Designer on this while with Denton Corker Marshall Architects.
Knitted House
A sculpture that evolved with community participation. The Knitted House was an ‘architectural installation’ and the focus of a series of workshops to engage the wider public with architecture and help defuse some of the stereotypes of Architects and the construction industry in general. The workshops took place at the London Architecture Bienalle at Smithfields market and at The Big Draw at Somerset House. Members of the public were invited to join in and knit a part of the house and discuss thier experiences of architecture and the built environment. The workshops were a big hit, attracting crowds of people to join in. Jenny worked on this with other members of the Knit Collective.
Viva
Installation pieces for an Architectural Viva that focussed on women, architecture and pattern. Private Commission
Miniature City
A collaboration with A Level students at the Royal Academy to create miniature city using drawings from the RA collection. Jenny worked led this workshop with other members of the Knit Collective.
