Conservation area of Tobermory

Planning Permission and Building warrant have been granted for alterations to a property in the Conservation area of Tobermory.

The alterations involve demolishing the existing sunroom and building a larger one to maximise living space, with larger windows to the garden to improve natural day lighting; the installation of a new roof window over the staircase; and to raise the ridge height of the dormer in the southern end of the roof, to match the other dormer in the northern end of the roof.

The southwest and southeast elevations of the new dining sunroom will be clad with natural larch, while the northeast elevation will be finished with painted white render. The roof will be lead, and the windows and entrance door will be triple glazed timber frame.
